Wellbeing Co-ordinator
Originally for Essex, I moved to Devon in 2015 after meeting my husband at university where I studied politics and philosophy in 2010. He is from Exeter and we wanted to raise our children in beautiful Devon. Before moving to Buckfastleigh, I had a variety of jobs including waitressing, working in a toy shop and customer services; I also loved volunteering with the fundraising team at my local hospice. Something that always knitted these jobs together was my love of working with people.
Throughout my life I have been privileged to enjoy some incredible volunteering opportunities, whether at the hospice, Buckfastleigh Food Bank, Little Lambs, the Residents’ Association or as Co-Chair of Friends of St. Mary’s. I have loved it all and have grown so much.
For 2 years I was a Project Co-ordinator at Be Buckfastleigh, cementing that community and supporting people is where my passion lies. I learned so much at Be Buckfastleigh and I am excited to expand my knowledge further at Moorland as well as get to know even more of this wonderful community. Helping others, encouraging them and ensuring the support I give is specifically tailored to them is what I enjoy most.
Even in my spare time you won’t find me far from a gathering of people, whether it be family, friends, fellow dog walkers or at a fundraising event I am helping run. In fact I am rarely alone, especially with three little people in tow.
